Who we are

Rook & Oak is a British heritage menswear brand, operated by Lee Jones (the data controller). If you have any questions about this notice or the information we hold about you, write to us at hello@rookandoak.live.

What information we collect

When you register interest or send us a message, we collect your name, your email address, the area of interest you select, and any message you choose to write.

When you reserve a garment before launch, we collect your name, email address, delivery address and telephone number, along with your product, colour, crest and size choices. We do not collect or store any card or payment details — no payment is taken at this stage.

How we use your information

We use your details to confirm your registration or reservation, to contact you about the launch collection and your reservation, and to alert us internally so we can reply to you. We use your email address only for these purposes.

We will never sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers. We only pass delivery details to a delivery company once an order actually needs shipping — and we'll tell you if that changes.

Our legal basis

We hold and use your information because you have asked us to — either by registering interest, reserving a garment, or contacting us. You can withdraw from the list at any time by emailing hello@rookandoak.live.

How long we keep it

We keep registration details until the collection launches and a short while after, in case you ask us about your interest. Reservation details are kept until your reservation is fulfilled or cancelled. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, deleted, or restricted, and to object to how we use it. Email hello@rookandoak.live and we will deal with your request promptly.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your information — though we'd always rather fix it ourselves first.

Security

Your information is stored securely in our managed cloud database, and the website is served over an encrypted connection. Only the brand's founder has access to the list.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes — for example when we begin taking payments — we will update it here and, where the change is significant, let people on the list know directly.
